Introduction to TFC2000 Wind Turbine – 1

Technical Advantages

TFC2000 are a 2MW , three-bladed , upwind rotor , horizontal-axis wind turbines with variable speed control , pitch regulated system and PMSG full power converter technology. The full power converter issubject to substantially lower dynamic loads , especially at sites with high turbulence intensity(onshore).

The rotor offers high operational reliability and longer service life with minimal maintenance effort due to its enhanced pitch-control system. They are world leading wind turbines which has outstanding reliability , high productivity and efficiency. They are especially developed for high availability of onshore wind energy.

Unique Integrated Drive Train

The rotor shaft is built inside the gearbox and the nacelle center of gravity is closer to the tower center , which reduces the bending moment of the yaw system and foundation due to the wind load and self-weight of the components , it also improves the load capacity of components and the entire turbine.

Sliding Yaw System

The maintenance-free sliding pads are located respectively at the connection of slewing ring , mainframe and glide ; the lateral suspender in conjunction with these pads helps the nacelle implement a smooth rotary motion relative to the tower. These sliding pads also provide certain friction damping , hence there is no need for an hydraulic yaw brake.

TCI with 80m rotor diameter.

TCII with 86m rotor diameter.

TCIII with 93m rotor diameter.

Electric pitch system with accurate positioning and short response time ; no potential leakage of lubricants;long term reliability and less O&M cost.

Independent electric blade pitch technology available to reduce loads do to individual blade angle during one turn.

High efficient PMSG(3% to 4% higher efficiency than DFIG system)

High Power Quality

Full Conversion System with complete decoupling of the Grid to the Generator and the Gearbox.

Low voltage ride through (LVRT) to meet grid interconnection requirements.

Patented D-VAR technology to support reactive compensation (no extra equipment required, built in each Turbine).

Optimized filter design (less losses, high efficiency).

Designed for 50Hz and 60Hz Grids.

Variable Speed Constant Frequency and flux decoupling control technology:The flexible rotating speed can be minimize the torque fluctuation caused by the instantaneous wind speed change and absorb the load variance resulted from the gust or turbulence; as a result , it improves life time and power quality.

High Availability

PMSG generator (no slip rings – no maintenance).

Redundant power converter System ,with adjustable power factor.

Water cooling system for generator and cabinets (no impact to electronics by salted air).

Maintenance free ultra-capacitor power back-up in pitch regulated system provides protection for the wind turbine during severe grid disturbance.

Integrated principal rotor shaft and gearbox.

Integrated CMS system(option).

Out from one hand turbine control, pitch control, converter control, wind farm management (control of the entire wind farm), SCADA, full remote access.

Patented Safety Lock Control: Always allows the blades to turn into feathering position in case of pitch drive fault.

Types of Wind Turbine

  • Normal climate version(TFC2000)

ambient temp. out of operation : -20oC~ 40oC

ambient temp. in operation : -15oC~ 40oC

  • Cold climate version(TFC2000-A)

ambient temp. out of operation : -40oC~ 40oC

ambient temp. in operation : -30oC~ 40oC

The cold climate version has a wider range of survival ambient temperature and operational ambient temperature than normal climate version. It is freezing resistant.
